Project Description
About The Project
Thorpeness Golf Club and Hotel in Suffolk has a hotel and an award-winning 18-hole James Braid golf course established in 1922.
This year the club is celebrating its centenary anniversary and 18Players worked with Thorpeness to create, edit and publish a full-colour, hardback centenary book to be enjoyed by members and hotel guests alike and provide an engaging record of the club’s history.
Thorpeness had already done the research, providing the written content as well as photography of both the course and the club down the years. It was our job to suggest how this content might best be presented to present a coffee-table book that was visually appealing. We dealt with sub-editing, flat planning and all of the printing and publishing.
The Centenary Book
What they say…
“Putting together a centenary book is a daunting prospect. We knew we had a great story to tell about the first 100 years of Thorpeness and the publishing expertise of 18Players helped us to bring it to life. We’ve been able to use the wonderful pictures we have – old and new – to present the course, the club and the people in the best light. It’s great to see members and visitors alike enjoying the book when they visit the club.”
